ABOUT SHANNON
I was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, raised all over the place, and currently live in Malvern, Pennsylvania. Writing has always been part of my life and I particularly love writing for children.
A few more facts about me:
When I was little, my parents (Mom blames it on Dad) told me they bought me from gypsies, for $5.
I wrote my first book in elementary school. Illustrated it too — which is the last time I ever did that.
Growing up, I spent summers with my grandparents in West Virginia.
I played violin in the school orchestra.
I have one brother. He lives in California.
I smile and laugh a lot.
I have a wonderful tribe of friends. Not sure what I'd do without them.
I have two boys and two nephews.
Hiking is one of my favorite things.
I consider myself an enormously lucky person.
